Our Mission
The mission of ADEPT Educational Institute is to advance awareness, knowledge and skills in the prevention, intervention and treatment of substance abuse and related public health issues.
The Institute accomplishes its mission through the development and implementation of high quality, yet affordable training programs and educational events. Activities are offered to individuals and organizations who directly or indirectly encounter problems associated with substance abuse or are affected by other public health issues.
About Us
ADEPT Educational Institute, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization established in 1986 in Worcester, Massachusetts. From a humble beginning, the agency has grown significantly and currently has offices in Worcester, Massachusetts and Augusta, Maine. The main administrative office for ADEPT Educational Institute, Inc. is located at 255 Park Ave. Suite 600 in Worcester, MA. On July 1, 2025, the Institute’s name changed from AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. to ADPET Educational Institute, INc.
In Massachusetts a large portion of the funding ADEPT Educational Institute, Inc. receives comes from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Presently, the agency holds a combined contract for the development of statewide trainings, education, and logistics management with the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services and the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention. Additionally, ADEPT also maintains a contract with the DPH Office of HIV/AIDS Bureau for research, training and support services.
ADEPT Educational Institute of Maine is co-located with the
ADPT Educational Institute of New England in Augusta, Maine.
